Are you feeling low, stressed or lonely? Come and try a creative sewing activity to calm the mind and reduce textile waste.

Make a greetings card ‘drawing’ with sewing machines, called Free Machine Embroidery, with volunteer Jemma. This activity is open to 10 people.

12-2
Try a sewing machine session.
Sewing machines will be set up to continue the morning activity, and for our volunteers.

This activity is open to 10 people.

2-4pm
Taster Session and sign up – Cultivate-Funded Social Prescribing Programme. (Programme runs Wednesdays 2-4pm, Abbey Stadium, 20 September to 29 November.)

This activity is open to 20 people.

Turn a plastic bottle and denim waste into fabulous plant holders using simple hand stitching, led by one of our participants and volunteers.

Please sign up for these sessions online. The taster session is open to all but we especially welcome people wanting to sign up to the September ‘Sewcial Prescribing’ course, which is aimed at people aged over 65, although we are able to take people under 65 on application.

Refreshments will be provided, but please bring your own lunch if you are attending all sessions.
