FOR BUSINESSES

Workshops and services for your people

THE WELLBEING-AT-WORK AGENDA

Sew Positive workshops and services for businesses can boost your employees’ mental health and wellbeing as part of your wellbeing at work strategy. We run customised, mindful sewing and crafting sessions, online or from your premises, that provide a vital time-out and the chance for your people to recuperate and connect.
Whether one-off sessions or a course of workshops, we can tailor a programme bespoke to your organisation. In turn, money raised from this enterprise helps us deliver more services to vulnerable people in the wider community.

Wellbeing & Team Building

FOR YOUR PEOPLE

We run sewing workshops with your people – with activities focusing on stitching or embroidering your brand colours or logo, or on more personal themes. Stitching and sewing workshops are a unique addition to your employee wellbeing programme and provide a good opportunity for team building too. Contact us to discuss our bespoke workshops and prices.

FOR YOUR BUSINESS

Working with us is a win-win. Whether you choose to work with us on an ad-hoc basis, or make us your Charity of the Year, we can help bring your people together, and further your mental health and wellbeing agenda. We offer employees other ways to engage, too – like our Running Stitch fundraising kits for runners, or by giving some of the time you allocate to them for charitable work. This all makes a real difference to our charity and our ability to deliver services to vulnerable people in the community.

Sponsorship

FOR THE COMMUNITY

Sew Positive helps vulnerable people facing social exclusion and we rely entirely on donations to fund our services. As well as our corporate workshops, you can also choose to help Sew Positive through charitable giving with money, materials or equipment. Your support means that our services continue to be free for vulnerable people to attend our community workshops.

HOW YOUR MONEY HELPS

All the money we raise through our corporate activities helps us to deliver our services to the community. We also give basic materials to those attending our workshops and courses so they can continue to sew.

  • £10 buys a basic craft kit for a participant experiencing social isolation
  • £30 supports a participant with mental health issues to attend a drop-in session
  • £50 funds initial recruitment for a volunteer, including DBS checks and references

PREVIOUS DONATIONS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED FROM

Janome – the brand leader for sewing machines in the UK, which donated seven sewing machines to support us with our work.

BeeBee & Leaf – eco food wrap business BeeBee & Leaf donated fabric to allow us to make face masks during the pandemic.
